Latitude and Longitude reported here are coordinates of Sketchup model. If both the latitude and longitude variables are valid, the PVWATTS will attempt a Version 2 type simulation using the latitude and longitude; otherwise ( e.g.latitude=0,longitude=0 or any outside USA), PVWATTS will attempt a Version 1 type simulation using the locationID value (must be given by the user) to find a U.S. or international TMY location.
